William L. Lynn, 61, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born July 16, 1948, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John Carson and Bessie G. Foster Lynn. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 32 years, Mr. Lynn was a Penn State alumnus, member of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and was a retired supervisor for the PA Board of Probation and Parole. William was a recognized expert in genealogy research having his examples cited in numerous research papers, books and speeches. Since retiring from the Parole Board, he had been pursuing a second career presenting leadership seminars throughout the world. He is survived by his wife, Adele Burchianti Lynn, to whom he was married 37 years; daughter, Janele Lynn and partner, James Tuttle, of Annandale, Va.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol and Lanny Staggers, of Charleroi, and Linda Lynn, of Clairton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Aladino and Rose Burchianti, of Masontown; a brother-in-law, Karl Burchianti, of Masontown; a sister-in-law, Veronica Lynn, of Florida; nieces and nephews, Cathie, Bessie, Charles, Bethann and Kena; great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Lynn. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Leonard Storer officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of William L. Lynn to the Uniontown Public Library.
