William Mahler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 13, 2025.
William A. Mahler Jr.

12/02/1950 - 09/10/2025

With deep love and heavy hearts, we share that William A. Mahler Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Canaveral, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth, wit, humor, and unwavering devotion to the Lord touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Born December 2, 1950, in Endicott, New York, William built a life centered on God, family, and friends, with a passion for music (especially rock and roll), the Florida Gators, and his business of more than 40 years, Beach Windows and Doors. Whether it was listening to vinyl records and playing "air instruments," telling stories with friends, or spending time with his grandchildren, he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Mahler; his daughter, Michelle Taylor (Jason); his stepchildren, Brandon Mechell and Jessi Mechell; and his cherished grandchildren, Beckett, Sloane, Dominick, Marcus, Magnolia, Joanna, Genevieve, and Eleanor. He is also survived by his brother, Lowell Mahler (Laura), and his sisters, Louise Mistretta and Ruth Orr (Barry), who will forever carry his love and wisdom in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mahler Sr. and Jean Mahler, and his sister, Franceen Hill (George).

Family and friends are invited to honor William's life during visiting and calling hours on Thursday, September 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 101 North Brevard Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, also at Beckman Williamson, at 12 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at his residence, where we will share stories, laughter, memories, and of course, music, in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Matthew's Hope Brevard so that his legacy of love and giving may continue.

William will be remembered for his kind spirit, big heart, and the way he made everyone feel like family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave will live on through those he leaves behind.

We Love you Billy and you will truly be missed. Your laughter was contagious and I will cherish the memories of you and Kevin with your silly banter.

I will always remember when you and Bill stepped up and took me out for my anniversary dinner back in 2023. My husband was on business and we could not be together so, I had the best anniversary dinner with you two amazing people. We talked a lot about faith, Jesus and scripture that night. And sharing your Tom Petty guitar with my son Jeremy! Rest well, Bill. I'm sure you are rocking the best concert in Heaven with many of the greatest. Say "hi" to Tom Petty for me.
