WILLIAM MARKSTEINER "BILL" DeMOTTE, IN William Marksteiner "Bill", age 71, of DeMotte, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. William is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; four children: Chrystie (Billy) Melvin of Crown Point, Cindie (Robert) Staehlin of Peotone, IL, Mark (Pamela) Marksteiner of Lowell, and Jim (Kim) Marksteiner of Schererville; six grandchildren: Justin and Rachel Melvin, Nicole and Tyler Staehlin, and Gracie and Reese Marksteiner; mother- in-law, Shirley Watson; one brother, Michael Marksteiner; two sisters-in-law: Betty and Susan Marksteiner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Anthony and Ruth; and brothers: Tony and Frank. William was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Demotte. He was retired from Ford Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights, IL and was a member of Local 588. William was an avid Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan. Visitation will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (two blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 334 15th St. SW, DeMotte, IN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 334 15th St. SW, DeMotte, with Msgr. Robert Sell officiating.
