William "Bill" McGuire, age 72, of Burlingame, CA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023 due to complications from cancer. Bill was a kind and loving person who could catch you off guard with his delightfully dry and very quiet sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bill was born in San Francisco on Dec. 17, 1950. A true Son of the City, Bill grew up in the heart of San Francisco's Eureka Valley neighborhood where he made lifelong friends. Bill worked in the printing industry and eventually co-owned a print shop called Duplication Plus.
Bill met, dated and married Chris, the love of his life. Together they had a son, and eventually a grandson. Bill loved his family and friends, the occasional poker game, the annual March Madness Tahoe trip with family, S.F. Giants and, of course, the cabin at Russian River where he was the BBQ king and Mood Master of music.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Mazariegos. He is survived by his wife Chris, son Sean, grandson Liam, brothers Mike McGuire and Sean Gonzales, sister Patti Baker (Terry) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Brother, husband, father, friend and finally "Grandpa". A life well lived, may his legacy be an inspiration to us all.
