William David McGurn, 58

William, a master landscaper and gardener known for his exceptional talent and passion, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston due to cardiac arrest.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, William was the beloved son of David J. McGurn and Thea McGurn (Carreiro). Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his craft, becoming a respected master landscaper and gardener whose work reflected his deep connection to nature and beauty.

William was a private man who found joy in simple pleasures. He loved spending time with his cherished pets, tinkering on his BMW, and collecting antiques. His warmth and kindness extended beyond his family to the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his partner, Marcy Beardsley; his brother, Michael & Vivian McGurn; his sister, Thea Kelli Court; his "adopted son," Adam Rafferty, ex-wife Karen Richcreek; and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.

In accordance with William's wishes, no memorial service will be held. Instead, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to make a donation to an animal rescue charity of their choice, reflecting his lifelong love and compassion for animals.

William's legacy of artistry, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
