William "Bill" McNeely

William "Bill" McNeely, a third generation Arizona native and owner of McNeely Food Co. for 50 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2005. He was born in Glendale, January 27, 1924. He enlisted in the Navy and served during World War II in the Coast Guard. Upon his return from the service, he married LaVerta Taylor. They had four children, Michael, Richard, Charles and Cynthia. For over fifty years, they were active members of Bethany Bible Church during which time Bill served as board member, usher, and Sunday School teacher. LaVerta passed away in 1990. Bill later married Donna Hayden, immediately increasing his family by four children, Roger, Steven, Linda and Terri. His extended family also includes 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. After a private military burial, a memorial service for family and friends will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 20th at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 North 7th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
