Maryellen Boswell

MARYELLEN BOSWELL,81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 12, 2005. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 14, 1924 to John E. and Margaret Kirk. Maryellen married Ted R. Boswell in Houston, Texas on May 26, 1956 and they enjoyed raising a happy and loving family together. She leaves behind a devoted family and an extended circle of loving friends. She was a caring and giving person and enjoyed her time with the St. Cecilia's Women's Group, Charity Guild of Catholic Women, Spring Oaks Garden Club, Green Valley Civic Group, and her Tuesday Sewing Group. Her beloved husband Ted precedes her in death. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Boswell, daughter and son-in-law Trish and Craig Tapley, son and daughter-in-law Kirk and Melissa Boswell and her grandchildren, Kirk and Kyle Tapley, and Stella and Leo Boswell. She also leaves behind her dearly loved sister Betty Mortensen and her husband Mort, her brother Richard Kirk and his wife Audrey; and many devoted nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16th from three o'clock until six o'clock in the evening with a Vigil service at five o'clock at J. B. Earthman - Tanglewood Funeral Directors, 5740 San Felipe @ Bering. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday October 17th at eleven o'clock in the morning at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a reception in the parish hall at St Cecelia Church after the interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Charity Guild of Catholic Women, 1203 Lovett Blvd., Houston, TX 77006.
