My sincere condolences to the Moore Family. It would be difficult to measure the impact Chief Justice Moore had on the many people's lives he touched both professionally and personally. He will be remembered for the many contributions he made to the legal community. I feel privileged to have known and worked for Chief Justice Moore.

Our whole family had the greatest respect for Chief Justice Moore, a man who had great success in all of his endeavours.
He was as resolute and intense on the field as he was off, one never to be intimidated by large challenges.

Ken and my father Randy were true friends. They were part of the original Grandstand Attractions Committee. Without Ken's support and wisdom (along with his friends and fellow committee members) The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede and The Grandstand Show, would never have come to be.
Ken was a great visionary for Calgary and my father shared the same values. Their vision and dedication touched tens of thousands of people.
All of the Avery family send their prayers and best wishes to the Moore family. We are privileged to have known such a great man as Ken.

Dear Moore Family,
My name is Al King, and Kenneth and I were childhood buddies and part of the 'Scarboro Rat Pack". One of my fondest memories was when the Moore's maid would get on the front steps of the house and call everyone in for dinner. In a booming, sing song-y voice she would call out " Tom, Doran, Dick and Lorne, Kenneth and Patricia...Supper". Kenny and I were good friends and remained that way over the years, even though we did not see each other often.
Another story that Kenny never forgot, was when we were playing cops and robbers in his basement one rainy day. I was swinging the wooden pistol we had made around, and I broke the only lightbulb in the basement. Kenny was scared that his mother would be really upset, so I volunteered to go home to get the burned out light bulb that my mother had in her sewing basket for darning socks. We cleaned up the mess, installed the burned out light bulb and the secret was ours forever.
My condolences to all of Kenny's loved ones.

I'm very sorry to hear this news. Ken admitted me to the Bar some 26 years ago this fall and he and Audrey were of course great friends and contemporaries of my parents at U of A and of Dad and Ardine in later years. Other commitments will unfortunately prevent me from attending on Thursday but I convey my condolences to the Moore family on the passing of a very fine man.

I am truely sorry to hear of the passing of Justice Moore . I had the pleasure of working with him at Queen's Bench many years ago when he was still Chief Justice. I was saddened when he decided to retire from here but knew that he was on another journey & to just enjoy life outside of this Courthouse. He was always good to me whenever I sat as a clerk with him . He left a very big pair of shoes to fit into for the next Chief Justice . You are onto your next journey Justice Moore - be safe up there . You will be Missed . :(
