William Morris Obituary

Morris William J., age 74, of Coon Rapids. Retired captain Coon Rapids Police Department. Preceded in death by parents, William & Blanche; sister, Jeanette Jensen; and nephew, Mark Jensen. Survived by wife of 49 years, Hazel; sons, Tom (Cathy), and Leonard (Linda); three grandchildren, Rachel, Leonard and Brian; two great grandchildren, Madison Anne and Calvin Michael. Honorably discharged twice US Army; second term served in Korea. 25 year service with Coon Rapids Police Department. Graduate of FBI Academy. Member of Krause Hartig VFW Post and Coon Rapids American Legion Post. Special thanks to Hubert H. Humphrey Cancer Center and Allina Hospice. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to American Cancer Society and Coon Rapids Humane Society. "He will be remembered in our hearts." Funeral Service Wednesday 7 PM with visitation from 5-7 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. 763-767-1000
