William Muccio Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 23, 2025.
William "Bill" Arthur Muccio, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 31, 1955, in the Bronx, New York, Bill lived a life rich in faith, family, and service.

Bill was the beloved son of the late Arthur Joseph Muccio and Bunny (Williams) Muccio. He is survived by his devoted wife, Josie (Fussa) Muccio, their four sons and their partners, Chris Muccio (Suzy Muccio), Tony Muccio (Justin Corona), Nick Muccio (Leah Muccio), and Paul Muccio (Taylor White). Bill was a proud grandfather to Ben, Zac, PJ, and Piper. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings James Muccio (Lucy Muccio) and Joanne Pippin.

A devout Catholic throughout his life, Bill found deep purpose in serving both his church and community. He was a third degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and gave generously of his time as a youth minister. His voice could often be heard lifting spirits in the church choir. Bill's commitment to service extended beyond the parish walls-he volunteered at Teen Valley Ranch, The American Red Cross, and supported Operation Lamb. Whether cooking for parish events or mentoring young people in faith, Bill's presence was one of dedication.

Bill enjoyed summer days boating on the water, the tennis court, cool mornings hunting in the woods, and preparing extravagant meals for family gatherings. Above all else, Bill treasured time spent with Josie, their children, and grandchildren-moments that defined the heart of his life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church, located at 246 East Main Street in Havelock, North Carolina. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Bill's legacy lives on through those who knew him best-his family, friends, fellow parishioners, and all whose lives he touched through service and kindness. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

Gifts may be made in honor of Bill to Operation Lamb or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research:

Your generous heart and kind spirit will surely be missed. We've all got several fond memories of our family times together eating, cooking at the church, hunting with the boys, and sharing those special times and moments with both our families. Godspeed, to you, old friend!
