William MUTCH Obituary
February 8, 1930 - Aberdeen, Scotland
July 18, 2017 - Calgary, Alberta
Bill passed away peacefully in hospice on July 18, 2017 at the age of 87 years. He married his loving wife Sylvia in 1960 shortly before their immigration to Canada. They looked forward to celebrating their 57th anniversary on July 30, 2017. They enjoyed a beautiful life together. He will be greatly missed and very fondly remembered. Bill's spirit will carry on through his family, his two daughters Melanie Poulsom (Dave, Charlotte, Angus, and Ailie) and Lindsay Watkinson (Craig, Shelley and Bryson, Cory and Nicole, Amy and Justin) and three great-grandchildren (Mackenzie, James, and new baby Mathew, who shares a birthday with his great-grandpa.) Cremation will take place privately and a celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Silver Springs Golf and Country Club (1600 Varsity Estates Dr NW, Calgary) on Wednesday, August 9 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Gratitude is extended to all the heart and kidney personnel at The Foothills Medical Center. Hello Sylvia. Even though it has been at least a decade since we have seen each other, I wanted you to know I am thinking about you. I remember Bill with great fondness and can hear his lovely Scottish accent in my mind and see his sincere and welcoming smile. I wish you well.

I just read the note of a special service for Bill. Jody & I were in BC & missed the obit. Bill was a great friend & mentor to me, he was like a second father to me. Silvia & Bill treated Jody & I like family & your home was always open to us both. A kinder person would be hard to find, his heart was as big as all of Alberta, and his love for Silvia knew no bounds. I'm a better person from knowing & working with him.
