NEFF, William Michael "Mike"

Mike was born Nov. 2, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William "Sam" and Grace Neff. He passed away Oct. 14, 2017. When he was in elementary school his family moved to Santa Barbara, California where he later graduated from Santa Barbara Catholic High School. He attended Seattle University in Washington State and served in the US Army. Upon discharge, he returned to Santa Barbara and became an engineer with Interstate Electronics working with the US Navy on the Trident submarine program. He and his wife, Sandie, recently moved to Land O'Lakes to be near their daughter, Natalie, her husband Patrick Flahan and their three children, Michael, Erika, and Gus, all of whom brought love and happy times to his life. He loved his family, Notre Dame football, fishing, the LA Lakers, Rams, and Dodgers, playing cards and having a good time.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandie; their daughter and her family; his two sisters, Eileen Neff Dudzik and Mary Neff from California and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. He was preceeded in death by his parents; his Aunt Virg and Uncle Paul; his infant daughter, Jennifer; his brother, Thomas Neff; and his sister, Patricia Westlund. Go Irish. A Memorial Mass will be said in his honor October 28 at 1 pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O'Lakes, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gulfside Hospice, New Port Richey, FL.
