William Nicely Obituary
William Patrick Nicely of Levittown died on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Aria Hospital Bucks County. He was 72.
Born in Pittsburgh, Bill was a long time Lower Bucks County resident.
He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam.
Bill retired from USX and then went on to work for the Bucks County Housing Authority for over 20 years.
He was an automotive enthusiast who enjoyed fishing and boating as well as a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Mostly, Bill will be remembered as a warm and inviting person who loved his family and will be greatly missed for his great sense of humor.
Bill is the beloved father of William E. Nicely (Eileen), Robert M. Nicely (Melissa) and Donna M. Nicely.
He is the loving grandfather of Joseph, Michael, Colin, Meadow, Devon, Shane and Ashley and the great grandfather of Luccus.
He is the brother of Eileen Nicely, Kathleen Lynch (Gary), Dorothy Dryden (George) and Walt Nicely (Daniella) and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Friends may also call on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at precisely 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 527 Plymouth Road, Suite 415, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462-1641.
