Rest in Peace dear cousin, Bill.
It was such a pleasure meeting Bill & wife, Marian Noonan and all the Noonan-Funke branch in Texas, ...now, so many years ago at two of your fun & fabulous family reunions - Texas style!
William George Noonan, III... "Bill", was amongst the descendants of our "mutual Great Grandparents": John James Noonan, Sr (1845-1922) and Mary Louise Moroney (1843-1912), of Ireland who settled in Oconto, Oconto County, Wisconsin in the 1860's.
Their son, William George Noonan, I (1881-1967) , removed Oconto for "the West" (Wyoming to Texas) and was the progenitor of what we Wisconsites call, "The Texas Branch" of our Noonan family tree with his wife, Adelaide Randal Sharpless Noonan (1887-1974) . Born Wyoming, their grson, William George Noonan, II (1915-1997), Bill's father, settled in Denver, CO then Austin, TX, having married Mary Louise Funke Noonan (1921-2016) born Quincy, IL.
Thinking of you, your family, .. recalling lovely memories of days gone by. Blessings to all of you.
With much cousin love,
Mary Beth Noonan Jensen, near Oconto, WI. "Second Cousin"
