WILLIAM PARDEE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 8, 2014.
Pardee, William A.

William A. Pardee went to his heavenly home peacefully on October 28, with his family at his side. He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, September 22, 1924, where he later met the love of his life. They moved to Torrance, California in 1956 and later moved to Orange, California in 1963, where they lived in the same home for 51 years. Bill served in the Army Medical Corps. in World War II and upon return, graduated from Hiram College in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He became a Chemist and worked at Anadite, a metal-finishing company, where he retired at age 69. Following his retirement, he served faithfully in his church for many years. Bill also worked in the ministry, EMFJ, along with his wife, until a couple of months ago, when the Lord took him home at the age of 90. He was a man of character and a wonderful husband and devoted father. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Charlotte; two adoring daughters, Kathy Pardee Belville and Nancy Pardee Bower; two great sons-in-laws, Roger Belville and William Bower; and two wonderful grandsons, Steven William Boland, whom Bill called his "pal", and Adam Belville, who resides in Vermont. Our Bill will be missed but lovingly remembered forever.

Bill's Celebration of Life service will be at Plaza Bible Church, 240 W. Chapman Ave.,Orange on Wednesday, November 12th at 10:00 a.m. followed by his Military Honors Tribute at Fairhaven Cemetery, 1702 Fairhaven Ave., Santa Ana.

I met Mr. Pardee in 1966, he was the father of my best friend, Kathy. He was always smiling, kind and had a big heart for his daughters' friends. I will always remember him driving Volkswagens and having Airedale dogs. Kathy and Nancy had a wonderful dad.

I wish I had had the pleasure of meeting you in person. Your sweet daughter Kathy has described you so lovingly I feel that I will have no trouble recognizing you when it is my turn to go home. Bless you for your service to our Lord and our country, and especially for the loving care you gave to your sweet family. - Patti Lumb

I meet Bill while working at Anadite in the early 90's and always enjoyed our conversations as he was such a fatherly person in the way he spoke. He told me several stories about his time during the World War II and the horrific things he had seen and experienced ....these days, every time I see "Saving Private Ryan" I cant help but to think of Bill's stories and how that movie brought his stories to life for me...
Bill truly was a "Class Act" his inter life and I was fortunate to know him as he was such an impressive person.
You will be missed Bill.
