Bill was a compassionate and caring man who loved the city of Wilmington and did everything he could to help those less fortunate. Throughout his career he wanted to help with handicap accessibility and was honored by the city for his efforts many years ago. He always wanted to help people get along. If there were arguments - he was the peace maker who would try and bring the people involved together. He loved being an architect and was so proud to be a graduate of Penn. He was also a loyal football fan and attended many home games throughout his life. He prided himself on his cooking especially his Bolognese sauce! He was kind, thoughtful, and loving and he will be missed by all who knew him. His Himalayan cat Ellie was his forever buddy and I know that she will also miss him. They were inseparable. God Bless you, Bill!

Where to begin? Which ones to include (and, yes, to exclude). Many, many years ago, there was an annual Penn/Cornell softball game held on the farm of another Penn alumnus. Being as meticulous as he was (after all, none of his buildings ever fell down), Bill ensured that there was always an independent umpire on the field. Good food, good games and just a few contested calls. Bill was all the friend a guy could want. Penn football games, sailing on the Chesepeake, golfing from the Adirondacks to the Carolinas were the fun part. Weekly lunches in all of Wilmington's famed eateries. We were also there for all the other parts of life. I had another great life friend who left way to early. Never thought I'd find another. Thanks, Bill.
