Bill was one of my closest fraternity brother and best man at my wedding. I was completely shocked when I just learned of his passing. My prayers go out to Sandy and family. Greek (as we called him at the fraternity house) was the best of the best.

Your self-effacing nature belied your overwhelming success as a husband, father, grandfather, highly successful businessmen and handyman, extraordinaire. Your empathy, grace and basic goodness made you a treasured friend and confidant that all cherish but so few of us find in life. Go in peace and look down on your family always, instilling them with the same love, affection and guidance that you afforded them while here on earth.

Dear Sandra:
I am a new member of the DuPage Fishing Club. Bill was my fishing partner in May of this year when we went to Lake of the Ozarks.
I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed our time together 18 hours in the car and numerous hours of fishing. During that time it was apparent that he really loved and was devoted to his family. He mentioned your great work with children while you were a State Representative. He spoke of his love for his handy man business and rehabbing and wood working of his daughter's apartment and I could tell through these conversations that he truly loved his life and his family.
I would just like to express my deepest sympathies to you and your family on this great loss. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to spend time with Bill.

Sincerely,

Ana Marie and Tom Fitzgerald

Sandy & family,
We were very sad to hear about the passing of Bill. He was such a nice man. I think of him often because he helped me at my dress store. He was very handy. I remember it was Lent & he went to McDonald's for a Filet-O-Fish (of course!)
Our deepest condolences & prayers.
