WILLIAM JOHN 'BILL' PRONOVICH ~~ WW II U.S. NAVY VETERAN SERVING IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC Mr. Pronovich, age 82, died on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born on January 29, 1928 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Max and Julia Kloba Pronovich. He had been a resident of Bloomfield Hills, MI for 18 years, and was a former resident of Birmingham, MI for 40 years. Mr. Pronovich had been a Design Engineer with General Motors for 35 years. He was very proud of the fact that he served on the Primary Design Team of the 1967 Corvette. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas occasionally. With his good luck he was often a winner! Family and friends will remember Mr. Pronovich as the life of the party, and he had a great sense of humor. He made people laugh all his life. He was a most loving husband to Marie. Military: Mr. Pronovich was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He served on the USS Aragon. Surviving Wife: Celia "Marie" Szczesny Pronovich. They married in 1951 in Detroit at St. Louis the King Church Surviving Daughter: Jill Walker (Brian) Surviving Sons: Guy (Kathy), Mark (Kim), and James Grandchildren: Jim Pronovich, Jackie Pronovich, Julia Walker, and Jodi Walker Visitation: Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 2-8 PM at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI 48084 (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads) Funeral Mass: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 - 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 4580 N. Adams Road, Troy, MI with Reverend Edward A. Belczak officiating. Prayers will begin at the funeral home Wednesday 9:15 AM followed by procession to church. Inurnment: Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan Memorial Tributes may be made to: Beaumont Hospice, P.O. Box 5802, Troy, MI 48007-9620
