William Reedy

Will Reedy was born in Tupelo Mississippi on June 25, 1984 to Melody Potter Boyington and Robert Townson Reedy. He passed on May 30, 2022 in Maitland, Florida. He was a student athlete at Oviedo High School and played lacrosse and football at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. After graduation he taught high school English in Oviedo before traveling to South Korea to teach English where he met the love of his life, Rachel Villanueva. Will told his Mom that he had met and fallen in love with the most amazing woman. In 2010 Will and Rachel moved back to Florida and later moved to North Carolina where he taught English at East Rowan High School and coached JV football. They moved from there to Austin and then Los Angeles, where Will found his niche in the solar industry working with distributors and manufacturers. He was highly regarded among his peers. Will was an avid Ole Miss fan, a devoted partner, a loving son and brother, and a kind generous soul. He is survived by his partner, Rachel, their dogs, Ashley (his favorite), Ava and Daisy, his mother Melody, his father Rob, his older brother Matt, Matt's wife Bonnie and Matt's two children Emma Grace and Jameson Clifford. He was preceded by his grandparents Clifford and Zella Mae Potter of Fulton, MS and John and Merlene Reedy of Tupelo, MS. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4 at 2:00 pm at First Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King Street, Oviedo, FL 32765, followed by a short reception. Will's wish is that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your local humane society or animal shelter.
