William Ridgeway Obituary
Bill was born on August 12th, 1949 to William and Virginia "Ginny" Ridgeway and graduated from Scottsdale High School.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sherry, mom Ginny, daughter Kim (husband Paul), son Brian, stepson Caden, and brother Kent (wife Tricia). He is preceded in death by his dad William Ridgeway and sister, Joyce Bowers.
Bill was a real estate broker in his early years. Bill loved people, and he had an enthusiasm for deal making.
Bill loved Sherry deeply. Bill married the love of his life, Sherry, and they enjoyed over 40 years together.
Bill is a long-time resident of Durango, CO. Bill blazed a trail as a small business owner. For over 30 years, Bill owned and operated Mesa Verde Stables (horseback riding) and Cowgirls and Cowboy Trading Company (Indian jewelry store).
Bill's passion is for horses and ranch life. Bill has instilled a great appreciation for the outdoors and mountains in Colorado to all that knew him. Bill will be deeply missed by friends and family.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Noble Hospice staff for their compassion and care provided to Bill.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 8/31 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The location is 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85204.

Met Bill at the RMR. I rented horses and used his hunting services. Later he relocated to another ranch . I dropped by and visited Bill each time I passed through the area.

So sorry to hear Bill has passed away. I met Bill while he operated the Red Mountain Stable & campgrounds in Durango Co. I always counted on Bill for horses to ride in the mountains near Durango. He will be missed by all.

This is Wayne Ranks, a long time friend of Bill´s. I was a State Farm agent in Mesa & recall many wonderful years of memories with Bill. They broke the mold when they made Bill. He was unique, one of a kind & you couldn´t help but love him.
