William Herbert "Bill" Rudge, aged 90, passed away on July 22, 2024, in Yorba Linda, California. Born on June 8, 1934, in Montebello, California, Bill was known for his humorous, wise personality and his knack for giving great advice.

Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his dedication and service to the country. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to a career as a Deputy Probation Officer with the County of Orange, where he made significant contributions to his community.

He pursued his education at Fullerton Junior College, California State University Long Beach, and Chapman College, enriching his knowledge and skills that he carried throughout his life.

Bill was a man of faith and an active member of the Rose Drive Friends Church. His interests were diverse, including woodworking, camping, cooking, and sharing jokes and stories, all of which brought joy to those around him.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Collette, Kimberly Colleen, and Melissa Marie; his son, Michael William; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Kay (Phillips) Rudge, his brother Allan Rudge, and his parents Thelma Marie (Prim) Rudge and Herbert Joseph Rudge Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 24, 2024, at Rose Drive Friends Church, where Bill was a devoted member. A viewing will take place on August 12, from 5 to 7 pm, at McAuly Wallace Mortuary in Fullerton, California, which is assisting with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rose Drive Friends Church in memory of Bill. His legacy of kindness, service, and humor will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
