Dear Bernie and Schaeffler family, please know that you are in our prayers. Our family had the pleasure of hosting Bill and John to see a Packers-Redskins game at Lambeau Field a while back. While the outcome wasn't the best for our two Redskins fans, listening to Bill's tales covering football games at Wrigley Field, as well as other his other adventures, left us cherished memories and a new member of the Zettel extended family. As someone who grew up sitting next to my dad at Packer games cheering on our favorite team, sharing in that same experience John and is dad at Lambeau was pretty special. Down the road, stopping by for a glass of wine and a visit with Bernie and Bill on way back to the airport became a cherished ritual. With deepest sympathies, Hugh, Cheryl, Rachel, Kevin & Monica Zettel

Dear Schaefflers All, My family has had the extraordinary good fortune to have been neighbors and special friends to The Schaefflers for over 35 years- - I knew Bill as an eternal optimist and forward-looking gentle man on every subject in his broad range of interests. I will miss him so very much.

Dear Bernie, Mark and the entire Schaeffler family - it saddens me deeply to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a kind and cheerful man. I have the warmest memories of him from my years at the Academy. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that Bill and the Schaeffler family are in our prayers.
With love from David and Gal
