On behalf of myself and a whole Celebration Restaurant family we send our heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family and friends. We have lost one of the truly “good guys”.
Bill was a friend and classmate of our founder Ed Lowe and one of the first to reach out in support upon Ed’s passing two years ago. He was a great supporter of our business but more importantly he cared about our people. He would always ask how my family was doing. I think this was a direct reflection of the love he had for his family and friends.
I will miss Bill’s visits to the restaurant but take solace from and greatly treasure the time we spent together. I am a better person for having known him.
With all our love,
Jon Radke

Much love and blessings to the Shuford family. I went to Waldemar with Sarah, Emily and Elizabeth when we were younger, and I will always remember how Mr. Shuford would be decked out in orange, green and purple to support each of his girls’s tribes. I also remember him being so funny!! I wish you all well and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was my mom's boss. I met Bill while helping out at WCS with the JIB many years ago. He had his Dr. Pepper and a smile on his face. I also had the privilege of seeing him again at the Byron Nelson tournament several years ago as well. He had a Dr. Pepper and a smile on his face. Bill was a kind, gentle soul that was an instant friend. My mom, LaVelle, always had nice things to say about Bill and she loved him like family. I grieve today that such a sweet, loving man was taken from this Earth, but I rejoice that he is with our Lord and Savior. May God give you peace and comfort during this most difficult time in your life. The days ahead will be so hard but precious memories will help fill that void. May God bless the Shuford family and all his friends.

Nancy and I are shocked and heartbroken by Bill's passing. Everyone who knew Bill has stories and memories that will last a lifetime. I first met him 41 years ago and thought he was the coolest person I'd ever met. Still think so. Truly, a great guy who just drew people into his universe. Loved by all. May God bless him, Kathy and their entire family.

I was fortunate to have been a part of Bill's college life, particularly at the SAE house. He was consistently positive, upbeat and happy. Bill was always fun to be with. Someone everyone wanted to be with. He was clearly destined to be a great husband, father, grandfather, community leader and business man. He was taken much too soon and will be missed by all who knew him. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the entire Shuford family. Peace be with you.

Kathy and family,
You made me a part of the UT/SAE/HP gang from the very first time I met you! I’ll never forget many travels, parties, laughs, dinners, etc. What fun we all had! I can’t remember name of the song, but he played it for us (over and over!) on one of our trips to Acapulco...about living each day as your last. I believe he did just that, to the very end. My heart aches for you, Kathy, and the kids (Shout out to my sweet Emily-love you, girl!) Shufords have always been a fine family, one that most people can only dream. I know Bill is in heaven with our Lord now, but all will surely miss him here on earth. My thoughts and continuous prayers are with you, Kathy, and the rest of the Shuford clan. May you have Gods peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Love to you all!

My love and support to the entire Shuford family during your time of grief and for always. My life was forever touched by this wonderful family, and Bill - who always met and spoke to you eye to eye, and no one who crossed his path ever felt unimportant. Bill had a way of making you feel like whatever the discussion, your point of view was never a small matter to him. The loss of this man is felt by every single person who had the pleasure of meeting him. I will miss him. Love to you all.

I remember those days in high school when he and his buddies practiced their band acumen in the "back house" of his parents house on Rosedale. I grew up with William living two houses away and loved him and his family. I am SO saddened with his very untimely death. I have nothing but really fun memories of both him and his family. I grieve with you all. Love, Betsy Wagner Summers

So sorry to hear about William. He and I were friends way back in the 60's.
I remember him as seemingly filled with joy and never discouraged about anything. I'm sure that's one of the ways that he would like to be thought of by family and friends.

Growing up and seeing the Shuford family on a weekly basis and then growing apart as adults and living in different places has made this news hit hard. My heart goes out to William's family. His brother and my childhood friend, Scott Shuford and Scott's family. I am just so sorry for this loss. My heart is heavy for all who loved William. I will remember him.

I lost contact with Bill after college, but I was moved reading his obituary and not surprised that he became such a successful business man, father, husband and friend.I am so sorry that he has been lost to our world before his time of giving to others had ended. I can tell from his obituary, and from my remembrance of him as a fraternity brother that he was a True Gentleman in the spirit of the creed of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.Phi Alpha,Bill....Jim Shawn
