William E Shumate (Bill), 87, was born in Columbus Montana on July 2, 1934. On August 20, 2021 he went to be with his savior. Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years Marilyn (O'Neall), his 4 children, Ernie (Carol) Shumate, Tammy (Jack White), Richard, (Regina) Shumate and Karalee (Ken Skye) and his brother Floyd Shumate, sisters Emerald Kelley and Beryl Davis. He was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 43 Great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill served 4 years (1953-1956) in the United States Navy and worked 35 years as a mechanic in the lumber industry for Weyerhaeuser in Aberdeen Washington. Bill and Marilyn loved to spend time with their family camping and vacationing. For several years they traveled throughout the United States and Baja Mexico in their RV. They spent the last 5 years in Grand Mound Washington. Bill was known for his words of wisdom and encouragement. He loved this country and had a firm belief in GOD. He will be missed by many. A celebration of life tba.
