I cannot convey how sorry I am to learn of Billy's passing.
I first got to know Billy in the mid 70's when he was the assistant scout master for Troop 18 on LBI. I then got to know him better as a teenager at the weight room at St. Francis Center when he became a police officer. Our paths crossed many times for different reasons and we always had good visits and memories.

My deepest condolences to the entire Sillitoe family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My Friend:

William Billy Sillitoe

It was with profound sadness that I learned of a lifelong friend passing yesterday, February 6, 2017.

I have known and considered Billy a close friend for over 44 years, and have been friends with his family as well.

Billy and I weight trained together at our home many times when we were teenagers, and when Billy started to drive he would come over in his yellow Volkswagen beetle, which I always busted his chops about.

Over the years we trained together, shared many times about family either at the gym, or on the side of the road when he rode his Harley for Stafford Township.

He visited our home and we watched our kids grown [his son Jordan, would get together with our son John when they were younger].

We spoke about the future and retirement and doing the things we loved with our families.

More recently when Billy was not doing well my wife and myself would run into him at ShopRite. He always greeted me with a handshake and hug and always asked about my dad Reverend Occ.

Billy always could put on a smile, even though I knew he was not feeling well.
I will miss this bear of a man, who was always kind and friendly to my parents and my family.

Rest now my brother. You will be sorely missed, and always remembered by me.

I hope we can meet again on the other side one day.

Your Friend,

Mark Occ Occhipinti
