William Donald Smith

SMITH William Donald Smith - age 75, a native of Bessemer, AL and long time resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, August 21, 2006 at a local hospital. He was the owner of Gulf Rubber & Gasket Co., Inc. and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama. He served on the Board of Directors of The Red Elephant Club, and was a member of the Mystics of Time Mardi Gras Society and past Father Time, Chamber of Commerce, Scottish Rites, and a former member of the Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Millet Smith; two daughters, Carmen Smith Adams and Donna Smith Padgett (Stu); two sons, Robert William Smith and John Jefferson Smith (Ashley), two grandchildren, Emma Elizabeth Smith and William John Smith; two step grandchildren, Joshua and Jana Padgett; three sisters, Marion Smith Johnson, Katherine Smith Armstrong and Rebecca Smith Adcock; and several nieces and Nephews. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 23, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Burma Road. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Aburial service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway following mass.
