Alan.... On the anniversary of your Dad's death I was asked to say something here. My memories are scant and I've already posted. But I'd love to hear from you if convenient ([email protected]). There are a bunch of 2nd cousins getting together in the Azores next year and it would be great to have you and your family. Chris (Costa) Nounou

Dear Alan,

While doing some genealogical research on my Costa family, I came across the obituary of your Dad. My sincere condolences. Billy Souza was a charming, handsome, and (according to my dad and his first cousin, Leonard Costa) a lot of fun. He was a true war hero beloved by the family. He was also my "first love" - I was totally and completely infatuated with him until my grandfather (Joe Costa, Mabel's brother and Billy' uncle) told me he was married and had a child. My poor 5-year old heart was broken forever.

May he rest in peace.

Alan - if you would like copies of pics that I have of your family in the 1940s, do let me know at [email protected]
