SPILCHEN, William
On March 15, 2012 William Spilchen of Sherwood Park, Alberta, passed away at the age of 90 years with his family at his side. After 62 years of marriage, his wife, Anne, will sadly miss him. Also remembering him with love are his daughter Judy (Larry) Lafleur of Edmonton, Alberta; son Brian Spilchen of Calgary, Alberta, daughter-in-law Fran Spilchen of Calgary, Alberta, grandson Dwayne (Kate) Lafleur of Carlsbad, California, granddaughter-in-law Yuliya Lafleur of Edmonton, Alberta, three great grandsons, John, Madden, and Will and one great-granddaughter Michelle. Two sisters survive him: Mary Korchouski of Bellville, Ontario and Katie Ockochinski of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and one brother Peter (Jean) of Renfrew, Ontario. William is predeceased by twin daughters Dianne and Donna, grandson Bradley, two sisters Pauline and Anne, and two brothers John and Paul.
The love of William's life was his farming whereby he carried out his free spirited life. He was also a journeyman carpenter by trade. William loved all kinds of sports: baseball, softball, and in his later years golfing and bowling . He bowled at the Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes for 20 years and was proud of his many awards.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of William's Life at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. at Glenwood Funeral Home, (south of Wye Road on RR 232) Sherwood Park, Alberta.
