William Stephen Savidge Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2024.
Naples - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Stephen "Steve" Savidge on April 9, 2024, in Naples, Florida, due to liver failure.

Steve was born on November 21, 1965, in Santa Cruz, California, to William "Bill" Savidge and the late Emeline Savidge. From a young age, Steve's radiant spirit and love for the ocean shaped his path. He grew up exploring the rugged coastlines and later expressed this passion through his enduring love for scuba diving.

Steve embarked on a successful career with Hyatt Hotels, where his charisma and dedication earned him the respect and friendship of many colleagues. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family.

Steve leaves behind his wife, Holly Savidge; his cherished daughter, Sophie Savidge; his father, William "Bill" Savidge of Palo Cedro, California; and his sister, Stacey Savidge of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida. He will also be fondly remembered by his niece, Emeline "Emmy" Savidge of West Palm Beach, Florida, along with many friends who were touched by his spirited nature.

A long-time resident of Naples, Florida, Steve was a familiar face on the beaches he loved. His happiest moments were spent submerged in the deep blue, exploring the mysteries of the sea or simply enjoying the tranquility of the beach at sunset.

Steve will be cremated in a private ceremony in Naples. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Coral Restoration Foundation, an organization close to Steve's heart that works to preserve and restore endangered coral reefs.

Steve's legacy is not only in the love he left behind but also in the many lives he touched with his kindness and warmth. He will be deeply missed but remembered always as a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him to cherish the beauty of life and the vastness of the ocean he so adored.
