William Warren Stephens, age 84, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on May 24, 2024, in Zephyrhills, Florida. Born on May 15, 1940, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Warren and Mary Stephens.

Bill's early aspirations led him to the halls of the Catholic seminary in Detroit. where he completed his studies with the intention of joining the priesthood. In a change of heart, Bill instead followed in the footsteps of his forefathers. Becoming a third-generation autoworker. Dedicating three decades to the Ford Motor Company at the Rawsonville Plant. His commitment to his fellow workers was evident in his active participation in the United Automotive Workers Union, where he held numerous leadership positions. Eventually ascending to Plant Chairman and President of the local union chapter. His work ethic and dedication to advocacy left an indelible mark on the union membership.

Retirement could not slow Bill down; he continued to serve others as a certified Nurse's Aide. His quest for personal growth and service to others was also expressed through his involvement in Freemasonry, where he attained the highest level possible. That of a 32nd-degree Mason and Shriner. He carried the same passion into his volunteer work with Hope Hospice and Palliative Care and his earlier involvement with the United Way at Ford.

An outdoorsman at heart, Bill's love for fishing and hunting provided him with moments of tranquility and joy throughout his life. His infectious spirit and love for life's adventures made him the life of the party in any gathering.

Left to honor Bill's memory are his sons, Mark Stephens, Brian Stephens, Jay Pousho, and Anthony Stephens; his daughter, Colleen (Stephens) Hoyumpa; his seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kattie, Cody, Jacob, Gabrielle, Opal, and Violet; four great-grandchildren; his cousins, Laura Downing and David Herbst; and a host of extended family members and friends. Bill was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents, his brother Mike Stephens, and numerous aunts and uncles.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, his body has been bequeathed to science in the hope of contributing to the betterment of humanity. As such, traditional funeral services will not be held. Bill's final gesture exemplifies his spirit and enduring legacy.
