William Summers
William W. Summers, 62, of Swansea, Ill., born Aug. 22, 1941, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Summers served in the U.S. Army and was a retired yard supervisor for Beelman Trucking.
He was preceded by his parents, Albert T. and Beatrice, nee Smith, Summers; a brother, Harry Summers; and a sister, Barbara Bequette.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, nee Sloan, Summers; three sons, William W. (Angela) Summers Jr. of Belleville, Ill., Jeffrey W. (companion Margaret Finch) Summers of Belleville, Ill., and Craig E. Summers of Belleville, Ill.; a daughter, Ruby (Wendell) Hutchcraft of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, Albert Summers of Belleville, Ill.; six sisters, Risa Summers of Belleville, Ill., Joan Bequette of Belleville, Ill., Bonnie Summers of Shiloh, Ill., Jane Pyatt of Murphysboro, Ill., Linda Summers of O'Fallon, Ill., and Mary Wilfong of Utah; and 11 grandchildren, Crystal, William III, Cindy, Andy, Julia, Michael, Matthew, Charlene, Samuel, Craig Jr. and Jeffrey.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to ALS.

Funeral: Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at St. Mary's Church, Belleville, Ill. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., at a later date.
