Mike Schaefer
July 5, 2025
This is Mike Schaefer, 87, Member State Board of Equalization.
When I had a question as to the Bagley Keene Act, I'd phone up Bill and his wife would assure me of a callback when he finished his nap. And he called me back. We are of different politics but share the same quests for fundamental fairness and no cronies. His famous public meeting act
needs some fine-tuning but I applaud the freshness and transparancy he has brought to public affairs in California. If there's a leadership opportunity in Heaven, he'll fill it and we'll so be the better. As a UC
alum, am so impressed he served on our Board of Regents.
