It is with overwhelming sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of William Troy Bolin, beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us too soon at the age of 56. Troy left us unexpectedly, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled.

Born on April 25, 1968, in Flint, MI, Troy left unforgettable memories onto the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Amy, and a loving father to his three beautiful sons, Jesse, Nile, and Gene. Troy's “teddy bear” like warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter made every moment spent with him a cherished memory. He had a unique ability to bring joy to any gathering, with stories that captivated, reminding siblings and others of the great childhood they had together, moments he shared with the family about his boys, stories of fishing and camping, playing his favorite pinball machines and all the things that made him happy and the jokes that made everyone smile!

As a son, Troy cherished his mother, Sandra. He honored her legacy with the values she instilled in him - kindness, integrity, and a relentless ability to live your life on your terms, with no regrets. Sandra, despite many challenges, built a home filled with laughter, support, love, and an unwavering commitment to one another. These values extended to Troy’s broader relationships, with his wife, his sons, and the numerous friendships he made.

As a brother, Troy was a rock — always there to lend an ear or offer support during challenging times. His unwavering love for his sister Angie, his brothers Jeff and Matt, offering words of encouragement, or simply pointing out at times uncomfortable truths. It was his matter-of-fact approach, his endearing heart, that many times inspired people around him to be the best versions of themselves. We will forever treasure the countless memories shared over family gatherings, holidays, and simple moments of togetherness.

Troy touched the lives of many beyond his immediate family. Friends and acquaintances knew him as someone who genuinely cared, always offering a helping hand or a word of wisdom. His compassionate spirit and generous heart will be remembered fondly by all.

We grieve not only for the loss of a wonderful man but also for the future moments we will miss with him. Troy's legacy will live on through the love he instilled in his family, particularly his boy’s, and the memories we hold dear.

As we mourn his loss, we celebrate the everlasting memories he leaves behind—his hearty laughter, his kind and generous spirit, and the countless lives he enriched. He was truly a gift, who found joy in giving and sharing love.Troy is survived by his devoted wife Amy, his mother Sandra Kerr, his father William Bolin, his son’s Jesse, Nile, and Gene, his sister Angie, brothers Jeff and Matt, his Uncle Johnny and a host of dear friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Rest in peace, dear Son, Brother, Husband, Father. You will be missed more than words can express, and your memory, your love, your light will forever shine and remain in our hearts.
