William Weissman, a resident of Holland, PA, passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 74, after a brave fight against lung cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones in his final days at home.

Born in Philadelphia in 1948 to Samuel and Lily Weissman, Bill graduated from George Washington High School in 1966. He served in the US Naval Air Reserve before embarking on a successful career in municipal water treatment. For the past 40 years, he served as the president of Essex Service Corporation, where he specialized in this field.

Bill had a passion for model railroading and spent much of his life indulging in this hobby. He also cherished spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his brother, Stephen, his children Dorian (Colin) Kuechler, Leslie (Keith) Murray, and Daniel Weissman, and his nine grandchildren, Tyson, Kennedy, Parker, Paige, Walker, Lincoln, James, Madaline, and Spencer.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bill's life and share memories will be held on May 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tre Fratelli, located in the Summit Square Shopping Center in Langhorne, PA.

Bill and I go back for more than thirty years and although we never got together socially, he was my friend. Over the years, Bill bailed me out of so many technical difficulties at my plant that they are too numerous to count. The scenario usually went like this: me presenting Bill with a certified cluster you know what and him exclaiming, "That can't be!" I would just stand back and watch him grind through the problem until I heard the words, "Oh wait." And I knew he had it. I was never worried because although there was plenty of consternation along the way, I knew he would get there. We worked together for so long that I often knew what he was going to say about a problem before he said it. Bill was a friend because while working through difficulties at my plant, we shared a lot about our families, every topic under the sun, and thoughts on life in general. His passing leaves a void that that I'm as yet unable to fully grasp. Bill was one of a kind and quite simply the best. Irreplaceable is the word that comes to mind. I shall miss him dearly. Bill always had the best Christmas decorations except when he put the Mickey Balloon out and the wind would play havoc with it. I admired how quickly and easily he put it all together. I miss the times we lit the illumination candles. We had very good conversations from time to time over the years. Rest in Peace Bill. Love to Peg and the family
