Funeral services for William C. Wright, 77, of Kemp, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp, with Rev. Marvin Denison officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 PM in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, at the funeral home. Mr. Wright was born in Altus, Oklahoma, November 21, 1931, son of Faye Bullinton and George Erie Wright. He died July 6, 2009 at VA Medical Center in Dallas. He was a graduate of Kemp High School in 1950 and was a member of the Lively Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Wright worked for Kroehler Manufacturing in Dallas for many years before opening his own business. He owned and operated Wright's Upholstery in Kemp. A daughter, Vickie Wright, preceded him in death in 1955. His parents and a brother, George Earl Wright, also preceded him. Survivors include his wife, Monda Wright of Kemp; daughters, Wanda Grider and husband Darrell of Aubrey, TX, Mona Thomas and husband Greg of Kemp; son, Bill Wright and wife Cathy of Kemp; 5 grandchildren, James Darrell Grider, 2nd Lt. Michael Bryan Wright, Anthony Wright, MA2 Joshua Thomas, and Sarah Thomas; 6 great grandchildren, Cailen, Payden, Carleigh, Jacob, Madelyn and Lauryn. Also surviving are sister, Josephine Ellis of Richardson; sister-in-law, Wanda Patterson of Kemp; cousin, Sandy Mills of Cottonwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
