I knew Dick when he was a motorcycle mechanic at Holder motorcycle sales. I did Lawn work for his mother for several years. Dick moved into the trailer and I was able to continue to do the lawn work. I was able to reacquaint myself with him after many years. He always took the time to come outside and talk to me. He loved to feed the birds just like his mom did. He was a great man and will be missed a great deal.

Dick Turner was family. Always at every wedding, graduation, birth and family reunion. Along with the sad days of deaths. He brought me my first Suzuki to race up the hills or poker runs with dad and I. My first black leather jacket. He was there when he and dad rebuilt a bike with the best banana seat ever. Then he was there when I got home from school to present it to me with dad. They were days I will always remember. There was not many days as a child that I remember him not being part of our life. When I married and moved back to Owosso, he was a staple in my house. I use to clean his trailer and do laundry for him each week as he was a worker and spent little time at home. He was like a grandpa figure in my home with my Kevin and Kandi. To this day, not many weeks, months and years went by that he didn't spent time on the river or in a boat fishing with my son. He was just always there! He was a man with such a.big heart. if you wanted snacks, candy or drink, Dick had it in his truck! What a life we had as a family with this kind gentle soul. Sorry to have heard he had passed yesterday! The picture of him on a boat fishing , smoking and holding a pole was Dick. Made me cry to realize so much time had passed not seeing him. I always sent the Christmas card and drop a line but boy! Life moves fast. He will be sadly missed but always remembered kindly. RIP Dick. To your family, I think of the loss you are experiencing right now and I'm sad for your loss.. Please let this bring some peace to your hearts. He was forever my buddy! Paula Rae

Dick will be greatly missed by many. He was always at our family Christmas as far back as I can remember. He was a true friend to my dad. Was there the day our youngest sister died and told my dad. He helped me find our missing kitten that has passed away behind the stove and helped me bury it. So many special memories with Dick from fixing our bikes. Bringing us snowmobiles to ride. And he did gifts each Christmas for my kids too. He was just so special to our whole family. More of an Uncle to us than our real uncles. It is so hard to say good bye to someone that was so special to us all. May you RIP Dick. You will be missed.

Where does one begin to say GOodbye to someone after so many years of friendship? Dick was a friend of my Dad's from way back in 60s or earlier. Dick was at so many of our family Christmas's. At our house more times than relatives were. Dick was in my wedding in 1972. Dick was there when my baby sister died. He is one of the few faces I remember at her funeral. Dick spent many deer seasons at my house in West Branch. He always had his truck loaded down with goodies. Used to be CHarlies Chips and then all sorts of stuff. He always brought me pistachios as he knew I loved them. Always the quiet, caring friend. YOu will be so sadly missed Dick!!!
