Willie "Joey" Sanders

Willie "Joey" Sanders, age 66, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Shirley Sanders and brother George "Buddy" Sanders. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mary Ann Gilbert Sanders; children, Hollie and Craig Stephens of Monroe, GA, Christina Sanders of Bethlehem, Gary Sanders of Bethlehem, bonus daughter, Lauren Carr of Social Circle, GA; grandchildren, Ethan Misere (Peyton Dinh) and Noah Stephens; brothers, David Sanders, Ray Sanders, Mark (Christy) Sanders; sisters, Vickie Sanders, Darlene Sanders, Faye Sanders, Tammy Williams; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Sanders was born on January 7, 1959 in Atlanta, GA. He attended Duluth High School and retired from the City of Doraville in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Suwanee, GA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Cary Pittman of White Plains Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, GA.
