Faye Scott Obituary
Faye Ellen Scott of Middletown, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at St. Teresa's Nursing Home in Middletown. She was 78.
The daughter of the late Eber B. and Alitha Garvey Atkins, she was born on February 3, 1930 in Newburgh.
She worked in Food Service for Middletown Psychiatric Center for over 20 years. Faye was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist in Middletown, CSEA and AARP. Faye truly enjoyed traveling and was a nature lover. She will be remembered by her friends as being firm and good natured and as a dedicated NY Yankees fan.
Faye is survived by her son, Edward; close friend, Gloria Robinson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Atkins.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 4 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 5. Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery, Midway Rd., Middletown.

I worked in the MPC dining room with Faye when I began my 25 year career there in 1972. Faye was always kind to me and willing to 'show me the ropes'. A good hearted woman. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
