Wilma Kalthoff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 7, 2025.
Our cherished wife and mother, Wilma Faye Easley Kalthoff passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 87 in Tucson, Arizona. She was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there providing us with her wisdom, support, and unconditional love.

Wilma was born in Roff, Oklahoma in 1937, the fifth child of Joseph Harden Easley and Mary Luetta Prewett Easley. She spent her younger years in Oklahoma and moved to California during high school. It was while working at an ice cream parlor that she met her life partner, Norbert. She married Norbert Emil Kalthoff in Alhambra, California in August 1956.

Norbert and Wilma had four children. Wilma's life centered around her children and supporting their endeavors and adventures while they were growing up. She was an active volunteer in the schools fulfilling many roles over the years and in the church as a CCD teacher.

Always a lifelong learner, Wilma took a variety classes at the university level and enhanced her seamstress skills by constantly learning new techniques. We were all the recipients of her sewing skills: from square-dancing shirts to prom dresses and down jackets and sleeping bags.

In retirement, travel was a large part of her life and Norbert's. Wilma and Norbert could be found at various square-dancing events throughout the Southwest and were regulars at the Bridge table. As they traveled, they pulled their trailer behind them, and it became their home for months at a time as they roamed all over the United States visiting historical sites and family along the way. Wilma and Norbert journeyed throughout the world on several cruises.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Norbert and their four children, Lou Ann Nelson (Steven), Stephen Kalthoff (Patricia), Timothy Kalthoff (Paula Leigh), and Paul Kalthoff (Vicki). She is also blessed with nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held in Wilma's honor at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 300 North Tanque Verde Loop, Tucson, Arizona 85748 on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 am. A reception will be held at the home of Norbert and Wilma Kalthoff immediately following the service. We invite all who knew her to join in remembering a truly remarkable woman.
