Winifred Rennie

RENNIE _ Winifred (Buckley) October 6, 1925 - July 24, 2008 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother following a brief illness in Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, a sadness tempered by the sure knowledge that she is now safe and secure in the everlasting arms of her beloved Jesus. Winifred was born in York, England and is survived by Russell Grant Rennie, her devoted husband of sixty-three years; her sister Eileen Hume of York, England; her daughters Jane (Fred) Kline of White Rock, Nan (Boyd) Clarke of Philadelphia, Paula (Marc Thibaudeau) Rennie of Lunenburg, Patricia (Dick) Stel of Calgary, her adopted daughter Grace Ho of Toronto; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her close friends, Irene Mainwood of Abbotsford, Ada Balzun of Calgary and Esther Loewen and Jean and Bruce Harger of White Rock. Winifred was predeceased by Mary Jacques, another dear Calgary friend. Cremation has taken place and Winifred was remembered at a private family Service on Monday, July 28. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Honey Arseneau and Linda Rye (nee Dickout) for their dedicated home care and friendship over the past few years and to the doctors and nurses at the Royal Columbian and White Rock hospitals for the wonderful care that Winifred received during her brief hospital stay.
