Wolfgang Bringmann

Wolfgang Bringmann Born June 13, 1933 in Darmstadt, Germany. Died June 7, 2009 in Austin, Texas. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend. Survived by wife, Norma; sons, Michael and Roger; daughter-in-law, Lynne; grandchildren, Carrie, Johnathan, Angela, Zachary and Zoe; brother, Gottfried; nieces and nephews. Professor of Psychology. Widely published researcher in the history of psychology. Fellow of American Psychological Association. Was a director of University Mental Health Clinic and later psychology department chairman at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada in the late sixties - early seventies. Was psychology department chairman at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, Alabama in the mid to late seventies. Retired from the University of South Alabama in 1997. Moved to Austin in 2003. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Austin Humane Society.
