Wyvern Oren "Bud" Ools was born April 30, 1931 to Romey Joseph and Ethel Minota (Duckworth) Ools in Perry, Oklahoma. He passed away October 10, 2018 in Oklahoma City.

Bud was raised by his Aunt Lillie and Uncle Clarence Space before joining the Air Force in 1948. He met and married Oneta M. Gunter Ools in Oklahoma City. They had 4 children. Two girls and two boys.

Bud is survived by 1 brother, Calvin Ools, of Enid, OK. Two daughters, Doneta Ools Vrska and husband Gerald of Hennessey, OK, Dawn Renee Ools Schaefer and husband Scott of Mustang, OK. One son, Douglas Ools of OKC. Seven grandchildren: Travis Vrska and wife Ashley, Trisha Vrska Settle and husband Shea, Amber Vrska Beaman and husband Jeremy, Shelby Schaefer Gibbs and husband Kyle, Colton Schaefer, Lindsey Ools and Karlie Ools. Ten great-grandchildren: Blaine, Kole, Brandt, Jax and Jacee Beaman, Kailei and Kaleb Settle, Tate and Brylee Vrska and Dax Gibbs. Three great-great granddaughters: Emma, Kinlee and Harper Beaman.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Oneta Ools, son Leonard Ools, his parents Roma Joesph Ools and Ethel Menota Duckworth Ools and two brothers, Addison and Donald Ools and two sisters Irma Dean Beth Ools and Twyligh Emogene Shaffer.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 8:00 pm Friday October 19, 2018. Family will receive guests from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 2:00pm at Sunny Lane Funeral Home on October 20, 2018. Burial will immediately follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through Sunny Lane Funeral home to OMRF, Heart Division.
