I grew up knowing Yana and this was the hardest thing to know my surrogant sister passed away. I got emotional and knew Sol her brother. They meant the world to me and it take me forever to think of something wonderful to say about Yana. We attended McKay high back then in the mid 90s and I just can't believe she is gone. She was caring and she got to to do some amazing things before God called her home to Heaven.

May Yana rest in peace and someday we will meet again in the Gods Heaven.

I will continue to pray for your family and love ones always.

From Thomas and Elizabeth thank you for giving us wonderful memories as a surrogant family.

Yana Loy and I became friends at Western Baptist. We bonded over books and kitzchy humor in the library where we both worked. We both loved languages and travel. That sweet extrovert adopted this introvert. We spent long hours talking about mental health, Jesus, and life and would touch base with each other in our adult lives just to check up on each other and give the other one kudos for our respective daily accomplishments. She always made everyone feel special and loved.

I´m so very sorry for your loss. When Lana and my sisters were growing up, Lana was always at our house. She had a beaming smile and was such a pleasure. She fit in and became like another family member. So thankful she is on the presence of Jesus and we will see her again. -Julie (Bassham) Hogan

I met Yana in 2nd grade. She was my first friend. She said "wanna chase boys with me?' She still would ask me that when we talked later in life. So much of my childhood memories is with her. She was so special and am so greatful for them memories that i have.

I went to school with Yana from elementary school thru college! I remember a birthday party at her house in elementary school, getting rides from her in her bug in high school, and her amazing laugh through it all!
