Yankiel Elias Rodriguez Fontes, age 17, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on August 18, 2017 in Lincoln. He was born on September 22, 1999 in Hastings, Nebraska to Saul Rodriguez and Veronia Fontes. He is survived by his father Saul Rodriguez and his mother Veronica Fontes and step-father Ivica Zec. Siblings: Ashlea, Ivett, Lindsay, Ivona, Jacob & Johathan. Other surviving family members: grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. Grandmothers Francesca Rodriguez, Ofelia Soto, grandfather Zeferino Fontes, and grandparents Mato & Venka Zec. Aunts & uncles Manuel, Alex, Irma, Maritza, Louis Torres and Patty, Albino and Lupe, Gerardo, Sandra, Sanela Zec, Oracio. Cousins Michael, Noah, Christian, Brayan, Jennifer, Stephanie, Abigail, Rosibel & Genesis.

I am so sorry for your loss. Yankiel was a great person. I loved having him at school. He would come to my room, put his arm around me and say "You know I'm your favorite!" I loved him as if he were my own. I will miss him dearly.

Hey yankee, just wanted to say how much I miss seeing you around the hood lol. You were such a clown but u always made me smile . I'm gonna miss you here in this life but I'm sure your doing great things over in that paradise you got called off to.
