Goldhar, Yitzchak (Irving) - On Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Mt. Sinai Hospital, at the age of 89 years, after a short illness. Beloved husband for 61 years of Paula. Loving father and father-in-law of Anne & Robert Kligerman, Marilyn & Les Steinberg, Sheldon & Fern (Lerner) Goldhar. Devoted grandfather of Daniel & Merita, Lorne & Kate, Lindsay, Carly, Hart, Elinor, Dayna and Hilli. Great-grandfather of Joshua and Liora. A Holocaust survivor, he was pre-deceased by all 11 of his siblings, 7 who perished during the Holocaust, and Abbish, Chaim, Mordechai and Esther in Toronto. Funeral service on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm, at Steeles Memorial Chapel, with interment to follow at the Stashover Society section of Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park. Shiva at 184 Coldstream Avenue beginning at the conclusion of Passover, with morning services at 7:30 am and evening services at 8:00 pm. Shiva visits 1:00 - 4:00 pm and after 7:00 pm. Please no home-baked goods, only from nut-free bakeries. Memorial donations may be made to Baycrest Hospital Foundation, 416-785-2875 or Beit Halochem, 905-695-0611.
