Many tears, but so many more memories.......baking, poppycock, scarves, grandchildrens' sweaters, phone calls "you better get down here, there's a pie with your name on it", and later calls from the Lodge "hey Georgie, we're having turkey tomorrow, hope you can come". Great visits, touring the flower gardens, checking the bird feeder outside her window and the squirrels that stole the bird food, laughing about the rabbits that stared in her window, the hilarious actions of a real squirrel batting the heck out of a fake squirrel outside her previous home. Our chance meetings at the Kinsmen Friday Farmers' Markets, making our purchases and then heading to her favourite "Palace" for Chinese food, where they always greeted her as "Grandma".
Her pride in her daughters and their families as well as other family members and staff at the Lodge, so many good memories.
Many thanks to Yvonne and her families for allowing us to "adopt" her as our Alberta Grandma and for giving us the time to say good-bye to her, means so much.
Luv and hugs,
Georgia Evenson and Family
