Yvonne Nelms Obituary
Throughout her life, Yvonne dedicated herself to the well-being of her community as a proud employee of the City of Minneapolis. Her welcoming smile and positive demeanor were a constant source of joy to those around her.
Yvonne was a cherished mother to Pamela K. Nelms (Jeanette Sobania) and Kenneth E. Nelms (Rebecca). She was a devoted grandmother to Zachary E. Nelms and also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Her family was her pride and joy, and she nurtured their lives with love and dedication. Yvonne was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Kenneth C. Nelms, her parents, Adeline C. and Harry L. Taylor, and her sister, Marilyn J. VanAsch.
A private memorial service will be held for her immediate family to honor her memory and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Yvonne's memory to the Animal Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association, organizations that reflect her compassion and love for animals and her support for important causes.

I remember her always having a little bit of sassy vibrant personality, in a good way! Growing up I recall her and my mom sharing talks, laughs, and cigs outside when we would all get together. She will be remembered! Wonderful photo of her too.

I'll never forget all the great Thanksgiving dinners Yve made year after year! She was always interested in everything and could talk your ear off! She also cared for my mother (her sister) and their mother when their health became an issue. Rest in peace!! You're enjoying a whole new wonderful world in Heaven and no longer suffering.
