Za'elle Toney Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 27, 2025.
Za'elle Toney was, and will always be, an angel among us. With a heart full of joy and a soul too radiant for this world, Za'elle-affectionately known as "Zaza"-brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around her.

She was mighty. She was loving. She was funny, wise beyond her years, and deeply inspirational. Whether twirling in her princess dresses, creating colorful drawings, racing in Mario Kart and dominating games on her Nintendo Switch, or quietly watching YouTube on her tablet gaining inspiration for her artwork-Za'elle embraced every moment with wonder and joy.

She danced like no one was watching-whether to Beyoncé, her favorite Disney melodies, or a DreamWorks tune-moving with freedom and grace. Her aura was unmistakably bright; her energy, healing.

At the age of two, Za'elle was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Yet she never wore her diagnosis. Cancer could never dull her spirit, her smile, or her joy. She found comfort in warm hugs, courage in family, and peace in the little things-like Mac & Cheese, cold milk, and being surrounded by those who loved her most.

Za'elle was deeply loved. Her tender voice, gentle touch, and superhuman strength will be remembered forever. She is our SuperHeroDivaPrincess, and though her body could no longer contain the brilliance of her spirit, we know she now shines even brighter in God's Kingdom.

My girl, granny miss and love you so much. Girl how I wish we could FaceTime again FaceTime was so much fun. We laughed, told jokes, sing, and you amazed me when you said, "Oh Mamma Mia". ZaZa the love and joy you gave me, got me through many days. I will never forget when I would sing "My Girl" how you would just shake your shoulders. I love you so much.

Mawmaw miss you so much! I wish I could go back in time just to be with you playing the game (Kirby one of our favorites), dancing and singing to one of your favorite songs. I miss picking out your princess dresses, I miss cooking your favorite Mac and cheese-you always said "mawmaw make the best Mac and cheese", I miss our tea parties, you cooking for me in your kitchen, I miss playing dress up, I miss playing in the dollhouse, I miss playing hide and seek, I miss watching you draw and coloring your artwork, I miss our movie nights, I miss going to the store and playing bumper car with the shopping cart, I miss the times we shared together with Destinee. Words can't express how much Mawmaw miss you. I love you so much ZaZa I would do anything to see your beautiful face again. You brought so much joy to my life. I miss all of the silly cute fun pics you spontaneously sent me. Mawmaw miss you so much you will forever live in my heart, you are my angel. I pray I make into Yah´s heavenly kingdom to be with you again. I love you so much baby, infinity.
