Zachary David Sylvia, known affectionately as Zach, passed away on August 14, 2024, in San Francisco, at the age of 48. Born on July 27, 1976, in Fremont, he grew up to be a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beacon of kindness and generosity.

Zach graduated from Woodlake High School in 1994, before earning a degree in Chemistry from South Dakota State University in 1998. He began his professional journey in the restaurant industry and ascended to the role of Vice President at JA Foods, serving from 2000 to 2022. He later transitioned to the Brooks Lending Team at Fulcrum Home Loans, where he worked as a Loan Officer until his passing.

Zach touched countless lives during his years as a football coach, where he was a guiding hand to many. He was passionate about football, coaching teams from youth to varsity level at Red Bluff High School. He also enjoyed attending concerts and various sports events, sharing these experiences with friends and family who cherished his upbeat and optimistic nature. He will be remembered for his boisterous laugh, sense of humor, selflessness, and the humble strength that made others around him feel seen, valued, and loved.

Zach is survived by his loving wife, Jessica; his sons, Sebastian and Christian; his parents, Joseph and Kathy Sylvia of McKinleyville; siblings, Nick and Abby Sylvia of Appleton, Wisconsin, Jake and Sovanna Sylvia of Brentwood, and Liz Sylvia of McKinleyville. He also leaves behind numerous in-laws including; grandmothers, Mary E. Snyder and Evie Detro, both of Ukiah, Dan Lowden and Teresa Robertson of Willits, Melissa and Graham Osman of Mendocino County, George Lowden of Clearlake, as well as numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maxine and Jim Blood, Tony and Mary Sylvia, and his mother and father-in-law, Kerry Snyder and Nehemiah Bear.

A memorial service to celebrate Zach's life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Dibble Creek Outpost, 19485 CA-36, Red Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the GoFundMe page "In Loving Memory Of Zach Sylvia." They also encourage saving lives by donating blood and registering to be an organ and tissue donor in Zach's memory, honoring his legacy of generosity and community support.
