Zadie May Smith, 90, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003. Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2003, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time. Virgil Tittle will officiate, and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.Mrs. Smith was a native of Franklin County and a member of the Baptist church.Survivors include her sons, Wyman Smith of Sheffield and Thomas Smith of Florence; daughters, Bobbie Sue Jones of Florence and Willodean Zills of Cherokee; stepson, Johnny Smith of Moulton; stepdaughter, Nellie Weaver of Hartselle; 55 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
